The Sicily less known and, maybe, more authentic. Beautiful places, rich in history and local culture, where lifestyle is just what we all want. Here the community is the protagonist. Let’s find them in Sicily!
Since its inception, in march 2001, the Association “I borghi più belli d’Italia” (Italy’s most beautiful villages), enhances the great heritage of history, art, culture, environment and traditions of the small Italian towns that are often marginalized and ignored by the flows of visitors and tourists, risking depopulation.
To enter the Association, a village must have specific requirements, that must be frequently improved and kept during the time.
Here there are 21 villages: Castelmola, Castiglione di Sicilia, Castroreale, Cefalù, Erice, Ferla, Gangi, Geraci Siculo, Militello in Val di Catania, Montalbano Elicona, Monterosso Almo, Novara di Sicilia, Palazzolo Acreide, Petralia Soprana, Salemi, Sambuca di Sicilia, San Marco d’Alunzio, Savoca, Sperlinga, Sutera and Troina.
