Cefalù – Itinerary of Kalura

Detail

The Kalura itinerary, accessible to both certified divers and snorkellers, will lead you to the discovery of ancient shipwreck traces and artefacts dating from the 5th century B.C. to the modern age.

Dive between a depth of 6 and 8 metres and be surprised by the remains of an ancient harbour structure, approximately 50 metres long and 15 metres wide, dating back to between the 4th and 7th centuries AD.

The regular, orthogonal layout of this ancient wharf suggests its authenticity, while the ceramic finds and bronze coins attributable to Valentinian confirm its historical importance.
