Agrigento 2025 – Capital of Culture: Journey through time among temples, words and landscapes
Detail
In 2025, Agrigento wears the garb of the Italian Capital of Culture and transforms itself into a living stage where millennial history meets the challenges of the present. A city founded by the Greeks and the cradle of classical thought, the “city of temples” today becomes a symbol of welcome, beauty and dialogue between cultures.
This 4-day cultural itinerary is designed for those who wish to discover Agrigento not only as a tourist, but as a curious and knowledgeable traveler. From the majestic Valley of the Temples to the birthplace of Luigi Pirandello, from villages regenerated by art to white marble cliffs overlooking the sea, each stop tells a piece of Sicilian identity intertwined with the Mediterranean.
Between performances, exhibitions and meetings celebrating the title of Capital of Culture, Agrigento is revealed in all its richness: not only archaeological heritage, but a living land of voices, visions and communities.
