Stagione 2025/26 dell’Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana
description
The Sicilian Symphony Orchestra Foundation inaugurates its 66th concert season 2025/2026 at the Politeama Garibaldi, from October 24 to the following May, with 60 events combining great classics and world premieres.
The opening, entrusted to Orff’s monumental Carmina Burana conducted by Pinchas Steinberg, marks the beginning of a journey through immortal masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Bruckner, and Strauss, alongside rarely performed works and contemporary commissions.
Special emphasis will be given to anniversaries: the 150th anniversary of Ravel, the 50th of Shostakovich, and of Britten. A season blending tradition and innovation, confirming FOSS as the beating heart of Palermo’s and Sicily’s cultural life.
