The number of “Blue Flags” assigned to Sicily in 2025 is confirmed to 14.
The ranking is drawn up every year by the Foundation for Environmental Education, the Danish NGO that awards the prize based on quality parameters such as the healthiness of the water but also the quality of the services offered.
The new entries? Two new Blue Flags: Messina and Nizza di Sicilia.
With the new entries, the beaches in Messina that have received recognition rise to nine. Confirmed are those of Roccalumera, Alì Terme, Furci Siculo, Santa Teresa di Riva, Taormina, Letojanni and Spiaggia Lampare in Tusa.
The province of Ragusa confirms the beaches of Marina di Modica, Raganzino in Pozzallo, Scicli and Marina di Ragusa.
Also confirmed is Menfi Beach in the province of Agrigento.
Among the 84 award-winning Italian tourist landings, Sicily stands out; reconfirmed are the Capo d’Orlando Marina and Marina del Nettuno in Messina. In addition, the port of Marina del Nettuno confirms its blue flag in the area of good environmental practices.
