Summer Tales – Cinema in Piazza

Cinema in Piazza returns this summer, the festival that for six years has brought great cinema where there are no longer movie theaters. A much-anticipated event that will enliven the summer evenings in the heart of the Aeolian Islands, turning the Cortile dell’Addolorata, inside the charming Castello di Lipari, into an open-air cinema under the stars.

The initiative features free screenings and meetings with filmmakers, creating a unique moment of cultural sharing, immersed in a setting of rare beauty and deep history. A chance to meet, reflect and be moved by the power of cinema, amplified by the evocative atmosphere of the Aeolian Islands.

Cinema in Piazza is a project by Magazzino di Mutuo Soccorso Eolie APS, an association that for years has passionately revived the magic of cinema within the ancient stone walls of the island. A true act of love for the territory and its community, renewing the deep connection between art and local identity.
