17th Edition of Stragusto

From 23 to 27 July 2025, the long-awaited 17th edition of Stragusto returns to Trapani, the Festival of Street Food and Traditional Markets – a must-attend event for all lovers of authentic flavors and local traditions.

Piazza Mercato del Pesce once again becomes the vibrant heart of this celebration of taste, hosting local and international producers in a welcoming and historically rich atmosphere. Organized by Trapani Welcome in collaboration with Pro Loco Trapani Centro and with the patronage of the Municipality of Trapani, Stragusto aims to enhance the tradition of street food as a cultural and social heritage.

A journey through Mediterranean flavors (and beyond)
Every day, the festival offers an ideal gastronomic itinerary where food, culture, and tradition come together. Highlights include: Trapani couscous, Nebrodi black pig porchetta, busiate pasta to-go, fresh tuna sandwiches, Ascoli and Florentine fried delights, and the unmissable Palermo street food.

International tastes will also be featured in 2025, with specialties from Argentina, Greece, Palestine, and Hungary. A dedicated gluten-free area will be available, confirming the festival’s inclusive approach and attention to every dietary need.

Wine, views, and flavor on the Mura di Tramontana
This year, the magical atmosphere continues with the renowned wine tasting on the Mura di Tramontana, a natural terrace overlooking the sea. Guests will be guided by expert sommeliers in the tasting of selected wines from Sicily’s most prestigious wineries.

Stragusto is a deep dive into the Mediterranean culture and the welcoming soul of Sicily. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover Trapani in an authentic light, walking among aromas, smiles, and flavors that tell both ancient and modern stories.
