Ottobrata Zafferanese 2026

On 4, 11, 18 and 25 October 2026, the Ottobrata Zafferanese returns to Zafferana Etnea, the market exhibition dedicated to the typical products of Mount Etna, now in its 46th edition.

Born in the early 1980s, the event has grown over time to become one of the most eagerly awaited autumn events in Sicily. Each of the four Sundays is dedicated to a symbolic product of the area: grapes on 4 October, honey on the 11th, apples on the 18th, mushrooms and chestnuts on the 25th, in a programme combining food and wine, craftsmanship and local traditions.

The programme includes tastings and show cooking in Cardinale Pappalardo Square, alongside a gastronomic offer ranging from traditional recipes to more contemporary proposals. Local crafts, music and the cabaret events of the “Domeniche del sorriso” also accompany the flavours of Mount Etna.

The event also gives space to culture, with guided tours of the Palazzo di Città, photographic exhibitions and a route dedicated to the works of painter Giuseppe Sciuti, broadening the story of the territory beyond its food and wine heritage.

The 2026 edition is also part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the administrative autonomy of Zafferana Etnea, strengthening the connection between the Ottobrata and the history of the town.
