Stragusto 2026

From 22 to 26 July 2026, Trapani’s historic centre will host the 18th edition of Stragusto, the Mediterranean street food festival that brings the charming square of the old Fish Market to life every year. A place steeped in history and atmosphere which, for five days, comes alive once more as a meeting place for flavours, cultures and culinary traditions.

Stragusto celebrates street food as a universal language capable of uniting peoples and regions. The event features specialities from Sicily, various Italian regions and countries across the Mediterranean and the wider world, including traditional dishes from Palermo, Trapani, Catania, Ragusa, Puglia, Tuscany, Tunisia, Romania and Madagascar.

Amidst aromas, colours, voices and flavours, the event recreates the atmosphere of ancient markets, offering visitors a rich and convivial gastronomic journey. The 2026 edition also includes a Wine Tasting area, dedicated to the region’s finest wines, to be savoured at sunset from the terrace on the Tramontana ramparts.

Stragusto thus reaffirms its status as one of the most eagerly awaited food and wine events of the Sicilian summer, transforming Trapani into a Mediterranean capital of flavour, sharing and street food culture.
