From 24 to 26 July 2026, Gioiosa Marea will host the 13th edition of Gioiosa Gustosa, the food and wine festival that celebrates the flavours, traditions and culinary excellence of Sicily. For three days, the village overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast is transformed into a grand culinary journey, where local produce, gastronomic culture, music and conviviality come together in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
The event offers a journey of discovery through Sicilian food and drink, featuring stalls, tastings and themed itineraries set up along the village streets. Highlights include Slow Food Presidia, local wines and olive oils, specialities from the Nebrodi Mountains, traditional Messina desserts, craft beers, traditional bread, honey, jams and numerous locally sourced products that showcase the island’s richness and biodiversity.
Alongside the tastings, Gioiosa Gustosa celebrates the fusion of tradition and culinary creativity through the participation of chefs and producers who offer contemporary interpretations of local flavours. Each tasting thus becomes an opportunity to discover the stories, techniques and passions behind the region’s culinary excellence. The event is enriched by a programme of live music performances, meetings with producers, in-depth sessions on the agri-food supply chains and workshops that offer an insight into the knowledge and flavours of Sicilian cuisine. An experience that engages residents and visitors alike on a journey through culture, sustainability and tradition.
