Wiki Loves Monuments 2025

Wiki Loves Monuments Sicily returns, the regional chapter of the world’s largest photography contest. An initiative inviting professional and amateur photographers to capture, through their shots, the richness of Sicilian cultural heritage. This edition focuses on public buildings and places of memory, from schools to theatres, from cemeteries to commemorative monuments: spaces that preserve collective stories and shared identities.

Photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons will enrich Wikipedia and related projects, spreading the image of Sicily worldwide. Photo walks and free “wikigite” tours will offer the chance to explore towns and villages, turning each shot into an act of heritage protection and enhancement.
