The heritage trains journeys in Sicily

The heritage trains journeys of the FS Foundation return to the tracks of Sicily, with a rich program which, from August to December, will allow you to admire some of the most beautiful and fascinating places on the island.

The heritage trains journeys program in Sicily includes 51 appointments on the most beautiful and panoramic railway lines of the island and will start on Saturday 12 August and end on Sunday 10 December.
Itineraries to discover an area rich in historical and architectural beauties and unique flavours, conceived to connect some of the most important urban centers – Palermo, Syracuse, Agrigento, Messina, Caltanissetta, Trapani – with guardian places of breathtaking views, unique flavors and history millenary, such as Cefalù, Modica, Ragusa, Tusa, Porto Empedocle, Giarre, Castelvetrano.
Each heritage trains journeys itinerary is associated with visits and excursions organized by the Assessorato al Turismo, Sport e Spettacolo of the Regione Siciliana.

Among the novelties of this edition, alongside the Centoporte carriages from the 1930s and Corbellini, a luggage compartment capable of carrying up to 50 bicycles per route.

The cost of tickets is 2 euros. Tickets can be purchased on Trenitalia sales channels and directly on board the train, subject to availability of seats.
