Living Nativity Giarratana

In the village of Giarratana, in the heart of the Iblei Mountains, Christmas comes alive with the Living Nativity of Giarratana, held on 26 and 28 December 2025 and on 1, 4 and 6 January 2026.

The historic centre becomes a narrative path portraying the Nativity through scenes of daily life, traditional crafts and settings inspired by Sicilian rural heritage.

Soft lights, period costumes and timeless gestures offer families and visitors an authentic and evocative Christmas experience rooted in local memory.
