Ibla Buskers

Detail

From 4 to 6 October 2024, Ragusa will be transformed into a lively open-air stage with the 29th edition of Ibla Buskers, one of southern Italy’s leading cultural events. Hundreds of artists from all over the world will animate Ragusa’s ‘Supra’ district, bringing new light and energy to the historic centre.

This year, the festival explores new routes, temporarily abandoning the reassuring atmospheres of Ibla to land in Ragusa Superiore. Under the patronage of the City of Ragusa and the Libero Consorzio Comunale, the event aims to revitalise this area rich in architectural and cultural treasures, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The streets and squares of Ragusa Superiore will become evocative settings for the artists’ performances, offering the public an enthralling and unique experience. Amidst lights, sounds and colours, the festival will unfold along a route from Ponte Vecchio to the ‘via dei Lumi’ (via Matteotti), with performances set in places of great historical importance.

Ibla Buskers is an unmissable opportunity to rediscover the hidden corners of Ragusa, letting yourself be enchanted by the street art and overwhelming energy of one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year.
