Catania Tango Festival 2026

From 12 to 16 August 2026, the Catania Tango Festival returns for its 24th edition – an international event dedicated to Argentine tango that attracts enthusiasts, dancers and artists from all over the world.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Le Ciminiere Amphitheatre and other venues across the city, the festival offers a packed programme of events, including masterclasses, workshops, performances, live music and milongas – the traditional evenings dedicated to tango dancing.

For five days, Catania becomes a meeting place for Argentine and Sicilian cultures, through the universal language of music and dance. The festival’s activities guide participants on a journey of discovery through tango and, at the same time, the city’s historical and cultural heritage, amongst Baroque squares, urban vistas and Mediterranean atmospheres.

An event dedicated to a passion for tango, to sharing and to bringing together international communities of tango dancers and enthusiasts.
