Busiata Pasta Festival 2026 in Salemi

From 4 to 7 August 2026, the historic centre of Salemi will host the 22nd edition of the Festival of Busiata, four days dedicated to one of the most representative pasta shapes of western Sicily’s culinary tradition.

The event offers visitors the opportunity to discover busiata pasta through tastings and culinary creations that highlight its connection with the local area and with customs handed down over time. The food itinerary winds through the streets and squares of the village, accompanied by folk music, local crafts and cultural activities.

Since 2025, the Sagra della Busiata has held the national “Quality Festival” recognition, awarded to events that promote local products, preserve regional traditions and actively involve the community.

Particular attention is also paid to sustainability, product supply chains and the use of compostable materials. The festival therefore offers an opportunity to discover Salemi through its flavours, traditions and the atmosphere of its historic centre, listed among Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages.
