The Chiaromonte family comes back to life in Agrigento with the exhibition “Agrigento and the Chiaromonte: Power, Magnificence and Devotion”, hosted at the Monastery of Santo Spirito and the Church of San Lorenzo, in the heart of the historic center. This fascinating journey through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance features 14th-century frescoes, precious artworks, unpublished parchments, and a rare wedding chest, unveiling the Chiaromonte’s central role in Sicilian history. Political power, artistic taste, and spiritual devotion blend in an immersive experience that enriches the program of Agrigento Italian Capital of Culture 2025.
