The Norman Castle: a thousand-year-old symbol on the lava cliff

The Norman Castle is the heart of the village. Built in the 11th century, it dominates the landscape with its imposing lava stone structure and offers spectacular views of the coast and the sea stacks of Aci Trezza.

Inside, it houses the Civic Museum, which collects archaeological and naturalistic finds related to the history of the area. In addition, the castle’s panoramic terrace offers one of the most fascinating viewpoints in eastern Sicily.
