Treasure Villages Festival 2026
Detail
From 9 to 24 May 2026, the Treasure Villages Festival returns – a widespread festival organised by the Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation and the Borghi dei Tesori association, which guides visitors on a journey of discovery through the most authentic parts of Sicily, taking in small villages, traditions, landscapes and local communities. For three consecutive weekends, twenty-five villages across the island will open their churches, castles, natural sites, workshops and symbolic locations, transforming into a vast open-air cultural itinerary.
Narrative walks, gastronomic experiences, craft workshops, dramatised tours and guided visits take the public on a slow, immersive journey through the deepest essence of Sicily. From the Sicani Mountains to the Madonie, and on to the villages of Belìce and the Hyblean hinterland, the festival showcases artistic heritage, folk traditions, ancient crafts and local flavours, actively involving local communities and the younger generation.
Borghi dei Tesori Fest thus confirms itself as a project for cultural enhancement and territorial regeneration, capable of transforming the heritage of small towns into a shared and participatory experience, inviting visitors to discover an intimate, surprising Sicily far from the usual tourist routes.
