International Week of Sacred Music in Monreale
Detail
From 10 to 17 October 2025, the magnificent Cathedral of Monreale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and masterpiece of Norman art, will host the 67th International Week of Sacred Music of Monreale (9 p.m.). Organized by the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra Foundation with the support of the Region of Sicily – Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment, the festival celebrates the union of art, faith and music in one of the most sacred places in the Mediterranean.
The 2025 edition is dedicated to the theme of Genesis, the first chapter of a three-year journey that will continue with the Life of Christ and the Apocalypse, blending the biblical mosaics of the Cathedral with the evocative power of sacred music through the centuries.
