Nebrodi Cinema DOC 2026

Dettaglio

From 21 to 27 September 2026, the Nebrodi Cinema Doc returns to Naso (ME), an international festival dedicated to independent cinema and its different forms of expression. The 2026 edition received around 300 works from more than 50 countries, selected to compete in the Festival’s various categories.

For an entire week, the nominated films will be screened at the Teatro Alfieri, with morning sessions also aimed at students and afternoon and evening screenings open to the public. Alongside the films, the programme includes meetings with directors and performers, themed panels, debates, presentations and opportunities for discussion focusing on the relationship between cinema, society and the local area.

Among the scheduled in-depth events are meetings dedicated to cinema, environment and territory, investigative documentaries, artificial intelligence and creativity, and the relationship between cinema, young people and schools. The Festival also directly involves local schools, creating opportunities for dialogue between students and the authors of the selected works.

The programme also includes special guests and dedicated events, including a meeting with Lucia Sardo, special screenings and the awards ceremony. The Gala Evening, featuring the presentation of awards to the winning works, is scheduled for Saturday 26 September at the Teatro Alfieri.

Nebrodi Cinema Doc also extends the cinematic experience beyond the screening venues, with activities connecting culture and territory. These include an excursion in the Nebrodi Park and a visit to San Marco d’Alunzio, offering opportunities to discover the local landscape, history and traditions.

The screenings listed in the programme are free of charge. The Festival ends on 27 September at the Convento dei Frati Minori in Naso.
