Le immagini che conservo – Exhibition
description
At fOn Art Gallery in Catania, the Oelle Foundation presents “ Malerba ” exhibition , an evocative journey through two centuries of photography from the collection of Alessandro Malerba, one of Italy’s most prominent collectors and president of the Malerba Fund for Photography.
The exhibition spans from 19th-century Sicilian images of the Grand Tour to international contemporary photography, featuring masters such as Gabriele Basilico, Luigi Ghirri, Mimmo Jodice, Massimo Vitali, Thomas Ruff and Nobuyoshi Araki.
With this project, the Oelle Foundation continues its mission “Collection in Foundation,” bringing private collections into public dialogue and enhancing cultural accessibility. As Malerba states, “Collecting is a way to listen to the time we live in”—a meditation on photography as memory, story and shared cultural responsibility.
