From 16 June 2024 to 31 December 2025, the exhibition “Treasures of Italy” at Villa Aurea in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. An ambitious journey through the history of Italian art from its origins to the present day: an 18-month-long tale, with three rotations of works and more than 60 masterpieces of Italian sculpture and painting from the most important civic, regional and national museums and the most prestigious private collections.
From 15 June to 30 November 2024, the first works on display will feature some extraordinary masters of Italian painting and sculpture.
A formidable historical and temporal excursus from the 15th to the 21st century, in which visitors will recognise the antiquity, beauty and fundamental cultural richness of the great Italian School; approaching exciting, surprising and exceptionally well-crafted works in a unique context.
