Inverdurata of Pachino 2026

From 8 to 10 May 2026, Pachino will host the 20th edition of the Inverdurata, a unique event that transforms the earth’s bounty into extraordinary open-air works of art.

Along Via Cavour, the heart of the event, the famous vegetable mosaics take shape, created using fruit, vegetables and natural materials – a true expression of the region’s agricultural heritage. The compositions, created by artists, schools and associations, explore a different theme each year, weaving creativity and tradition into a captivating visual journey.

The theme of the 2026 edition, “Francis, Patron Saint of Italy. The Canticle of the Creatures”, invites reflection on the values of harmony, respect for creation and a sense of community, in a profound dialogue between nature, art and spirituality. The creation of the mosaics, which begins on the afternoon of 8 May and continues until the early hours of the following day, is one of the most fascinating moments of the event, offering visitors the chance to witness the works coming to life.

Alongside the mosaics, the town comes alive with stalls, exhibitions and tastings of local produce, showcasing the agricultural excellence of Pachino and the surrounding area.
