Donnafugata Film Festival 2026

From 4 to 9 August 2026, the Donnafugata Film Festival returns – an event dedicated to cinema and the arts that brings to life some of the most evocative locations in the Ragusa area, with Donnafugata Castle and the Bufalino Foundation in Comiso serving as its main venues.

Now in its 18th edition, the festival offers six days of screenings, talks, workshops and in-depth discussions, bringing together directors, actors, artists, photographers, poets and leading figures from contemporary culture in a dialogue between cinema, literature and the visual arts.

The 2026 edition is dedicated to the sign of Cancer, a symbol of memory, sensitivity and emotional depth – a theme that will underpin the event’s cultural programme through a selection of films, national and international guests, and events designed to celebrate the language of cinema and its artistic influences.

An opportunity to experience cinema against a backdrop of great historical and scenic charm, amidst castles, historic mansions and places symbolic of Sicilian culture.
