Cocoa in Art

From 30 April to 3 May 2026, Modica, in the heart of the Val di Noto, will host the first edition of “Cocoa in Art”, a cultural and gastronomic festival celebrating cocoa as an expression of identity and a universal language. Set against the backdrop of Pizzo Belvedere, the Scalinata di San Giovanni and the spaces of Palazzo San Giovanni, the Modica Alta district is transformed into an open-air workshop where tradition and innovation come together in the name of Modica PGI Chocolate.

Organised by the Mani in Arte association and the Condire Digitale agency, the festival offers a packed programme of talks, tastings, masterclasses and in-depth sessions, featuring national and international guests, experts from the cocoa supply chain and leading figures in contemporary cuisine. Alongside the exhibition-market and fine dining and street food experiences, there will also be space for music, literature, art and family-friendly activities.

“Cocoa in Art” is conceived as a project for cultural and urban enhancement, capable of telling the story of the region through taste and offering an immersive experience of the knowledge, flavours and visions of the Mediterranean.
