Castelbuono Flower Festival 2026

From 30 May to 2 June 2026, Castelbuono, in the heart of the Madonie Park, will host the 18th edition of the Castelbuono Flower Festival, an artistic and cultural event organised by the Promomadonie-Sicilia Cultural Association. For the occasion, the picturesque Via Sant’Anna, at the foot of the Ventimiglia Castle, is transformed into a striking floral carpet composed of large designs created using petals of carnations, gerberas, ears of wheat, leaves and natural materials gathered in the Madonie area.

The theme of the 2026 edition is dedicated to the “800th anniversary of the death of St Francis of Assisi”, forming part of the official calendar of national celebrations dedicated to the Patron Saint of Italy. An artistic and spiritual journey that intertwines faith, memory and creativity through floral works of extraordinary visual impact, created by floral artists, associations and school groups from all over Sicily.

Alongside the flower festival, the programme features historical parades, shows, concerts, tastings, workshops and guided tours of the monuments and museums of the medieval town. Castelbuono thus reaffirms itself as a meeting place for art, tradition and hospitality, offering visitors an immersive experience of colours, scents and spirituality within the unique landscape of the Madonie.
