2026 Carnival Termitano

From February 8th to 17th, 2026, the city of Termini Imerese celebrates one of the oldest and most beloved carnival traditions in Sicily.

The absolute stars of the festival are the historic masks of Nanno and Nanna, local icons representing tradition and the carnival’s heritage. The event brings the city streets to life with spectacular parades of allegorical floats made of papier-mâché, accompanied by masked groups, music, and entertainment for all ages.

The 2026 Carnival of Termini Imerese reaches its peak with the famous “will” reading (testamento), a moment of satire and folklore that makes this celebration an authentic experience deeply rooted in the cultural identity of the region.
