Carnival of Sciacca

The Sciacca Carnival, with its 399 years of history, is one of the most important and ancient carnivals in Italy, listed among the Historical Carnivals by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.

A one-of-a-kind party and a wonderful fun machine for all ages. 5 masked courses of imposing allegorical floats, made of papier-mâché with mechanical movements, masked groups with artfully created costumes, a street food village, areas dedicated to children and a full program of shows and events will liven up various spaces in the city starting from February 22nd until March 2nd, finally culminating with the traditional burning of Peppe Nnappa.
