Carnevalandia 2026- Balestrate

From February 8th to 22nd, 2026, the seaside village of Balestrate comes alive with one of the most original celebrations in the province of Palermo.

The 2026 Carnival of Balestrate is an event that blends modern satire with historical roots, famous for its spectacular parades of allegorical floats and masked groups. The most anticipated and characteristic moment of the festival is the Contradanza, an ancient dance led by the “capoballo,” where pairs of dancers in period costumes perform complex choreographic figures.
