The Butterfly House

Ragusa hosts in the prestigious venue of the Centro Commerciale Culturale, right in the historic centre, an event of great play, educational and recreational interest. It is the House of Butterflies.

The House of Butterflies is a structure built within the ground floor space of the palace used as a veritable winter garden within which everyone will have the opportunity to stroll amidst lush vegetation and observe some of the world’s most striking and beautiful butterflies up close. The butterflies are free to fly around inside the facility. To make the exploration of the butterfly house more captivating and constructive, biologists and entomologists will guide visitors, students and pupils, to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of butterflies, revealing adaptive techniques and curiosities.
