Milazzo Film Festival 2026

From 25 to 28 March 2026, the Trifiletti Theatre in Milazzo will host the twelfth edition of the Milazzo Film Festival, an event that celebrates the seventh art in the heart of the city.

Established in 2006 and organised by the ‘L’Altra Milazzo’ Association, the MFF consists of a film festival, an International Short Film Competition, an ‘Attilio Liga’ Feature Film Competition and the ‘Lo Scarabeo d’Argento’ Award. The Festival promotes cinema as a tool for cultural growth and dialogue with the local area, offering space to independent filmmakers from all over the world. Alongside the free-themed sections, particular attention is paid to environmental sustainability and the protection of the sea, in collaboration with the Capo Milazzo Marine Area. Screenings, meetings and debates enliven each edition, involving actors, writers and protagonists of the Italian cultural scene, under the artistic direction of Caterina Taricano and Mario Sesti.

The Milazzo Film Festival thus confirms itself as a crossroads of visions, talent and civic engagement, where cinema becomes a shared narrative and an open view of the contemporary world.
