Acireale Carnival

The organisation of the Acireale Carnival, the most beautiful Carnival in Sicily, has already begun. This is the most important event in the city of Acireale, which will start on 28 January 2024 and end on 13 February 2024.
The streets and squares of the baroque town will be the setting for an unforgettable spectacle, which reaches its climax with the parades of allegorical-grotesque floats.
As always, the protagonists will be the papier-mâché masters and their works that will parade along the circuit. This year, nine construction sites will participate in the kermesse, attracting the attention of spectators who will have the opportunity to admire the allegorical floats and the subtle satire that characterises them.
The opening ceremony in Piazza Duomo will take place on Sunday 28 January, with the handing over of the keys of the city to the patroness of the Carnival, Linda Pani, and the performance of “I Beddi”, who have created a veritable anthem dedicated to the kermis.
An entrance ticket is required for some events.
