Palermo Marathon

On November 16, 2025 Palermo will host the 30th edition of the International Marathon: an event of great historicity and enrichment where runners from all over the world, will be able to combine sport with culture and art. Not only a moment of competitive sports, but also a ‘unique opportunity to discover the great cultural and architectural heritage that possesses the City.

There will be 3 types of competitive races: the classic 42 km Marathon, the 21 km Half Marathon and the Relay Marathon (4×10.5 km). The route will wind through the streets of the historic center, one of the largest and richest in Europe: the Teatro Massimo, The Four Songs of the city, the Cathedral, Piazza Politeama, Viale della Libertà, the inner courtyard of the Palazzo dei Normanni, the Favorita Park, and the Palazzina Cinese stand out as true protagonists in a scenario of absolute excellence.

Ample space will also be allocated to associations that promote sports, running and physical well-being. Information corner points will be reserved for them inside the expo, and of course, they will be able to participate in a possible non-competitive “walk,” which has always been aggregative and generous with smiles.
