Christmas in Caltagirone 2026/27

From 1 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, Caltagirone celebrates Christmas with a nativity scene itinerary that takes visitors through original displays, craftsmanship and local traditions.

The route includes the Animated Nativity Scene in Terracotta and Fabric, the Cotton Nativity Scene and the House of Nativity Scenes, where a life-size nativity scene comes to life inside an authentic 18th-century stable. Alongside the more traditional displays, visitors can discover unusual creations such as a nativity scene made with 10,000 toothpicks, Jesus, King of the Universe with moving planets, nativity scenes set inside a Fiat 500 and a vintage Vespa, and the Adoration of the Magi made from marble powder, designed to be accessible to visually impaired visitors as well.

The experience also includes a live demonstration of ceramic craftsmanship and a visit to the House of Bees, with honey tasting, and can be combined with a route through Caltagirone’s main monuments.
