FAI Autumn Days 2026

On Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026, the FAI Autumn Days return, the initiative promoted by the FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS dedicated to discovering and enhancing Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage.

Now in its 15th edition, the event exceptionally opens to the public more than 700 locations throughout Italy, many of which are normally inaccessible or little known, through visits with a free contribution organised by FAI Delegations and Groups with the support of volunteers.

Sicily also takes part in the initiative with extraordinary openings throughout the region, offering visitors the opportunity to discover monuments, architectural sites, historic places, landscapes and lesser-known locations through stories connected to the history and identity of local communities.

From monumental buildings to theatres, churches, castles, natural areas, art collections and examples of contemporary architecture, including more unusual and unexpected sites, the FAI Autumn Days offer a journey through the richness and variety of Italy’s heritage.

The 2026 edition also pays particular attention to Italian craftsmanship and Made in Italy, highlighting knowledge, traditional crafts, manufacturing traditions and productive excellences that contribute to defining the identity of local areas.
