Palermo Ladies Open 2026

From 18 to 26 July 2026, the Country Time Club in Palermo will host the 37th edition of the Palermo Ladies Open, a historic international women’s tennis tournament on the WTA 125 circuit. Regarded as one of the most prestigious events in Italian women’s tennis, the tournament has been a key fixture for emerging players and leading figures on the international scene for over three decades.

Held on the clay courts of the Palermo club, the event attracts players from all over the world every year, confirming Palermo’s role as a key fixture in the summer tennis calendar. Throughout its history, the tournament has seen champions pass through its ranks who have gone on to reach the very top of world tennis, cementing its reputation as a platform for the development and launch of new talent.

The 2026 edition will feature a main draw of 32 players and a doubles tournament with 16 participating pairs. Qualifying rounds will take place on 18 and 19 July, whilst the main draw gets underway on 20 July, with matches scheduled daily across the club’s three courts. The final is scheduled for Sunday 26 July.

Alongside the sporting competitions, the tournament also offers a programme of cultural events and opportunities for in-depth discussion. Among the supporting events are the launch of Giorgio Perinetti’s book Quello che non ho visto arrivare, the screening of Pucci Scafidi’s short film Palermo, Storie di Meravigghia, and the global meeting of WTA 125 tournament directors, which will bring representatives and professionals from the international circuit to the Sicilian capital.

Thanks to its combination of top-level sport, hospitality and cultural events, the Palermo Ladies Open remains one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Sicilian sporting summer, offering the public the chance to watch world-class tennis live in one of the most fascinating cities in the Mediterranean.
