Forest Festival 2026

From 29 May to 7 June 2026, Gratteri, in the heart of the Madonie Park, will host the Festival del Bosco, an event dedicated to slow tourism, nature and the authentic discovery of the local area. Set amongst the village and the surrounding pine forests, the festival offers two weekends of activities designed to celebrate the relationship between landscape, wellbeing and community through immersive outdoor experiences.

The first event, from 29 to 31 May, ‘Forest in Motion’, is dedicated to active tourism and outdoor experiences, featuring trekking, trail running, yoga, photography walks, workshops on wild herbs and activities focused on forest conservation. From 5 to 7 June, “Happy Children between Village and Forest” offers a programme aimed at families and children, featuring creative workshops, games, picnics, nature walks and educational activities, accompanied by the optional “Unplug!” challenge, an invitation to enjoy some experiences with screens switched off.

Both weekends will be accompanied by the Forest Passport, the Forest Pact and voluntary plogging sessions, symbols of a shared experience based on respect for the environment and care for the local area. The Forest Festival thus invites you to slow down, walk and rediscover the true value of nature and relationships.
