Taobuk – Taormina International Book Festival 2026

From 18 to 22 June 2026, Taormina will host the 16th edition of Taobuk – Taormina International Book Festival, the international festival conceived and directed by Antonella Ferrara, which transforms the city into a hub of literature, the arts, thought and contemporary dialogue. Over two hundred guests from thirty countries will bring to life a varied programme of talks, shows, in-depth discussions and performances dedicated to the themes of culture, society, geopolitics, science and technological innovation.

The central theme of the 2026 edition is “Trust”, understood as an ethical and civic value capable of sustaining dialogue between individuals, cultures and communities in an era marked by profound global transformations. Writers, philosophers, artists, economists and leading figures in the international debate will be invited to engage with the major issues of our time, in a multidisciplinary journey that intertwines words, identity, technology and the future.

Among the most eagerly awaited events, the Taobuk Gala on 20 June at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina will host the presentation of the prestigious Taobuk Awards, honours dedicated to leading figures in international culture. Against a backdrop of Mediterranean scenery, civic reflection and contemporary vision, Taobuk reaffirms its status as one of the most important cultural festivals on the European scene, capable of making Sicily a privileged meeting place for the ideas, languages and sensibilities of our time.
