Fabio Cavasenna<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Let\u2019s try to prepare it\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Frutta\u00a0 Martorana\u00a0recipe \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>(high difficulty)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>For the almond paste:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500 g peeled and chopped almonds or almond flour<\/li>\n<li>500 g sugar<\/li>\n<li>125 ml water<\/li>\n<li>vanilla aroma<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For decoration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>food coloring<\/li>\n<li>gum arabic<\/li>\n<li>plastic leafs and fruit stalks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Preparation:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Finely grind the peeled almonds or alternatively use the almond flour. In a pan warm the water and dissolve the sugar until it boils. \u00a0Turn off\u00a0 and add vanilla aroma and almond flour. \u00a0Stir continuously until you get a soft but solid dough that you can easily handle and remove from the pan. Pour the mixture onto your work surface, you\u2019ll have slightly moistened and wait until it is lukewarm.<\/p>\n<p>Start\u00a0 to\u00a0knead\u00a0until the dough becomes smooth and homogeneous and then\u00a0model it into fruit and vegetables shapes. Let the little sweets \u00a0dry for at least 20 hours, after that you can paint them with bright food coloring and polish with a finishing lacquer of gum Arabic.
