From July 30 to August 21, 2025<\/strong>, one of the most anticipated musical events of the Sicilian summer returns: the Castelbuono Jazz Festival<\/strong>, now in its 28th edition<\/strong>. An event that blends music, culture, and landscape in the splendid setting of the medieval village of Castelbuono, one of the most charming in Sicily.<\/p>\n

A tribute to two legends of the 20th century \u2013 Andrea Camilleri and Pino Daniele \u2013<\/strong> will be the theme of this year\u2019s edition, once again under the artistic direction of Angelo Butera<\/strong>, who promises a program full of emotion and major names from the international jazz scene.<\/p>\n

Jazz, culture, and nature: a festival that enchants<\/strong><\/p>\n

The festival will open on July 30<\/strong> with an evocative environmental concert in the Madonie Park<\/strong>, under the shade of ash trees. On stage, the newly formed JFP Madonie Orchestra<\/strong>, composed of 22 talented Sicilian musicians, will kick off a program filled with exciting concerts, masterclasses, conferences, and musical tributes.<\/p>\n

On August 1<\/strong>, in the magnificent Prince’s Hall of the Ventimiglia Castle<\/strong>, a special conference entitled \u201cThe Sicily of Andrea Camilleri<\/strong>\u201d will honor the late author, with debates, readings, and performances. The event is part of the centennial celebrations of Camilleri\u2019s birth, a writer who deeply loved jazz and Sicilian culture.<\/p>\n

Masterclasses and tributes to Pino Daniele<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pino Daniele<\/strong>, a Mediterranean blues icon, will be honored through a special masterclass where participants will perform arrangements of his most beloved songs. The experience will culminate on August 21<\/strong> with a final concert by the teachers and students of the Advanced School of Jazz Music<\/strong>, named after Claudio Lo Cascio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
