Presepe Vivente of Gangi – ‘From Nazareth to Bethlehem’.

Dettaglio

From 26 to 29 December, one of the most evocative living nativity scenes in Sicily ‘From Nazareth to Bethlehem’ returns, set in the heart of the historical centre of Gangi, proclaimed 2014 Most Beautiful Village in Italy.
Steps, towers, and alleyways will be transformed into an authentic Palestinian village, offering visitors a unique and enthralling experience.

Thanks to an accurate historical-anthropological and religious study, the Nativity is portrayed with great realism by more than one hundred figures in period costumes. The scenes evoke the social life of Palestine at the time of Jesus’ birth, with representations of daily activities, Herod’s court and the Roman military presence.

A unique atmosphere is created by the soundtrack and a voiceover that accompanies visitors along the route, illustrating each scene and offering food for thought. The narration without direct dialogue allows visitors to immerse themselves in the mystery of the Nativity through an emotional and spiritual journey, culminating in the Bethlehem Grotto.

A journey into the mystery of life:

‘Silence… A voice… A journey… Life…’

Directed by Peppuccio Ballistreri, Carmelo Domina, Giovanni Germanà, Luciano Inguaggiato and Stefano Sauro.

Experience the magic of Christmas in the village of Gangi: an unforgettable experience that combines tradition, history and Christmas charms, ready to thrill young and old alike!
